Das MMORPG befindet sich seit einigen Jahren bei dem s\u00fcdkoreanischen Entwickler sowie Publisher von Free2Play-Videospielen in Entwicklung.<\/p>\n<p>Bisher wei\u00df man nur, dass die Neuauflage auf der Unreal Engine 4 basieren wird und alle Erweiterungen des Originaltitels bis \u00bbChains of Promathia\u00ab umsetzt. Anpassungen am Kampfsystem, dynamische Events sowie weitere Features sollen ebenfalls ins Spiel Einzug halten. Einen Erscheinungstermin hat der Ableger noch nicht, eine weltweite Ver\u00f6ffentlichung wird allerdings angestrebt. \u00bbFinal Fantasy XI\u00ab ist das erste MMORPG des Franchises und spielt in der Fantasiewelt Vana&#8217;diel 20 Jahre nach dem Kristallkrieg, der die Nationen und dessen V\u00f6lker verw\u00fcstet zur\u00fccklie\u00df.<\/p>\n<p>Square Enix k\u00fcndigte die Zusammenarbeit mit Nexon Korea f\u00fcr die Smartphone-Version des MMORPGs bereits im M\u00e4rz 2015 an. Geplant war ein Release in 2016. \u00bbFinal Fantasy XI\u00ab selbst brachte Square (sp\u00e4ter Square Enix) 2002 f\u00fcr Playstation 2, Xbox 360 und den PC heraus. Einen letzten Satz Hauptmissionen erhielt das Spiel im November 2015, bevor die Server f\u00fcr Playstation 2 und Xbox 360 am 31. M\u00e4rz 2016 offline genommen wurden. Die PC-Version wird immer noch betrieben.
